Hazelnuts, can also be known as filbert are a deliciously tasteful nut that has plenty of protein, manganese and Vitamin E.

Grown around the world with Turkey being the largest producer – they can grow in North America (wild across BC) – but the varieties are usually smaller then the European varietal and not commonly grown for commercial.  

Commonly used for cooking and in salad dressings but can also be used as a carrier oil for aromatherapy or massage oils.
